Concrete Resurfacing Brisbane

Transform Your Existing Concrete with Resurfacing
Give your old, drab concrete surfaces a fresh, new look with concrete Resurfacing. This polymer modified cementitious spray-on topping is an effective way to renovate and transform your existing concrete, saving you the time, money, and hassle of completely removing and replacing it. Whether you have a concrete driveway, pathways, pool surround, or any other concrete hardstand area, concrete Resurfacing can be a suitable option for updating the concrete around your home.
Our concrete resurfacing Brisbane services can resurface a wide range of concrete surfaces, including plain concrete, exposed aggregate, tiled, stamped, or stencilled. If your existing driveway has any of these finishes, we will remove the tiles or grind the surface to create a smooth, seamless base for the Resurfacing. It's important to note that Resurfacing can only be applied to raw concrete, so if you don't remove the existing topping or building product, the Resurfacing may delaminate and crack over time.

3 Times the Strength of Traditional Concrete
Concrete Resurfacing is a durable and long-lasting solution for renovating existing concrete surfaces. One of the main advantages of this product is its strength. With a compressive strength of 40-60 MPa, it is 2-3 times stronger than traditional concrete. With proper aftercare, it can last just as long as traditional wet concrete, making it an excellent choice for residential properties.
Resurfacing is designed to withstand traditional residential conditions such as vehicle and pedestrian traffic. It is an ideal solution for concrete driveways, pathways, pool surrounds, or any other concrete hardstand area. Whether you have a plain concrete, exposed aggregate, tiled, stamped, or stencilled surface, concrete Resurfacing can be applied to give a fresh and modern look.
Resurfacing provides a durable and long-lasting finish that stands up to the wear and tear of everyday use. With concrete Resurfacing, you can transform your existing concrete into a modern, attractive surface that will last for years to come.

Concrete Resurfacing Brisbane
One of the main advantages of Resurfacing your concrete driveway or other areas around your home is the convenience and cost-effectiveness of the process. You can walk on the resurfaced surface the same day it's applied, and it's a much more affordable option compared to completely removing and replacing your existing concrete. On average, concrete driveway Resurfacing takes between two to four days for a typical home, depending on the size and condition of your existing concrete. In comparison to replacement, Resurfacing your concrete can save you around 50% in costs, while still providing a lifespan of 15+ years with proper care.
If you have cracks in your driveway, don't worry – it's a natural occurrence in concrete. To minimise cracking in your concrete driveway, pathways, or other areas, we recommend installing control joints and Ableflex, a black concrete foam tape used where your concrete meets exterior walls or other structures. Like most building materials, concrete expands and contracts with temperature changes, and control joints and Ableflex allow for this movement while minimising cracking and damage. Before Resurfacing your concrete driveway, we will also fill any cracks using a process called stitching. We fill both small cosmetic cracks and wider structural cracks with a 100% solid, non-shrinking epoxy mixture, and then grind down any excess to create a smooth surface.

Get a Durable, Long-Lasting Finish for Your Concrete Surfaces
Concrete driveway resurfacing has been a popular choice in Australia for decades, starting with stencil patterns in the 1980s and transitioning to Terracotta in the late 1990s and early 2000s. However, as architectural trends have evolved, so have the styles and designs available for concrete Resurfacing. Today, many clients opt for a plain colour or a plain colour with flecks, which mimic the look of wet concrete, such as exposed aggregate. With concrete resurfacing, you can achieve a modern and transformed look for your property almost overnight.
Our company, Conker, specialises in concrete resurfacing and is Dulux Avista accredited, meaning we use only the highest quality products and can offer the longest warranties in the industry under the right conditions. Concrete Resurfacing is incredibly durable and long-lasting when properly maintained, with a recommended annual wash and re-seal every two years. It can also be used on your driveway crossover, as it has a P5 slip rating that meets council regulations, and on sloping or steep driveways without any risk of slippage. Many clients also appreciate that concrete Resurfacing is softer underfoot compared to finishes like exposed aggregate, making it a good choice for concrete areas around the home.

Transform Your Concrete into a Modern, Attractive Surface
Before starting the concrete resurfacing process, we first assess your existing concrete to determine if it's suitable for resurfacing. If it is, we'll move on to the next step, which depends on the current substrate. If you have anything other than plain concrete, the surface will need to be prepared by grinding or removing tiles, creating a smooth, raw base for the resurfacing.
Next, we'll fill any minor or major cracks using epoxy, depending on the severity. Once we have a seamless base, we'll apply an acid and water mix to open the pores of the concrete and create a strong bond for the resurfacing product. To protect your home from overspray, we'll then install protective plastic. After applying a concrete priming product, we'll begin the resurfacing process by spraying on the base coat and texture coats in your desired colour or style. To finish, we'll roll on a solvent-based clear sealer for long-lasting colour and durability. Resurfacing the concrete around your home, such as your driveway, can improve its aesthetic and financial value, whether you're looking to update your forever home, undergoing a renovation, or preparing to sell.

As with this project, some clients choose to continue resurfacing into their internal garage instead of traditional epoxy flake flooring, which is prone to hot tire pick up in Queensland. Resurfacing the garage floor provides a continuous, seamless look without the need for additional building finishes.
